PROJECT X HITS MYSPACE!
POSTED BY
RAWK
20xxth Century Music meets 21st Century Global-Media-Conglomerate-Owned Social Networking!!
Everyone's favorite robotic video game cover band from the future has been feeling lonely ever since Mega Man X-Zero-X-Proto-X decided to stop hanging out with them backstage at the RoboDome. Being robots, Project X decided that the best way to make new friends was via the World Wide All-Controlling Robot Brain, known to us in the 21st century as the Internet. Just to make sure no potential friends from the ancient past were missed, the band went back in time to 2003 to create a Myspace page. Myspace was so poorly coded, though, that the glitches made the robots Rawk and Rok's robo-brains explode. It took 4 years for them to be repaired, and now, finally, the page is live!
Visit Project X's myspace page right now and reward them for their efforts with your undying virtual friendship!!

PROJECT X 2007 UPDATE!
POSTED BY
RAWK
Greetings Project X fans. Our highly superior robot minds noticed that this page had not been updated in a long time (in human terms, anyway). So now that we are well into the year 2007 (how we long to be back in 20XX!), here are a few updates on Rawk and Rok.
- In October, we played our first show as Clawjob at the historic Brattle Theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts. We played our science fiction rock opera, Space Crackers, in its entirety. It's not easy playing in human suits, but we made it work.
- Despite having been on zebox.com for years at this point, the Project X Mega Man soundtracks are still ruling the charts with an iron (literally) fist. Our "friends" in the awesome band (by human standards) PILES, as of this writing, are drowning down at #15. You'll make it someday, guys!
- If you still haven't tried Rawk and Rok's other flavors of rock, you have to buy the Space Crackers Super Bundle that went on sale at the end of last year. It's a science fiction rock opera, people!

THE MEGA MAN EFFECT IS AVAILABLE FOR WINDOWS XP
POSTED BY
RAWK
If you are a fan of Project X, you are mostly likely also a fan of A) Mega Man, B) awesome music, and/or C) talented robots. Therefore you will probably love The Mega Man Effect, a computer program previously only available for OSX, which is now available on Windows XP.
As the site says, "The Mega Man Effect is an application that emulates an effect seen in the classic NES game Mega Man 2. When you launch an OS X Windows application, the screen goes dark, stars sweep the night sky and your application's icon is presented in a blue letter box bar with a cheesy 8-bit music introduction."
Here's a screenshot:

Project X is not affiliated with Virtual Constructs. We just want our fans to be aware of the best in non-essential, somewhat annoying software!

SNEAK PREVIEW OF OUR NEW PROJECT!
POSTED BY
RAWK
Greetings, humans!
Since we last spoke, RAWK and ROK have been toiling away, in human form, on a brand new project. As our chronicles of the greatest adventures of Mega Man have long been completed, for this project we went in a totally different direction. Firstly, we are living in human guise. Secondly, we are performing as CLAWJOB (robot law prohibits robot bands from sharing names with human bands -- the bureaucracy we have to deal with just to bring the rock to you!). Thirdly, we are performing original, full length tunes, with vocals, while retaining that classic sci-fi edge beloved by robots around the world!
We've been recording Clawjob's debut album, "SPACE CRACKERS," since last summer. The album is a science fiction rock opera that takes place in the not-too-distant-but-not-too-near-either future. You can get a sneak preview of two rough tracks by visiting our new page on myspace: http://www.myspace.com/clawjob!
Check it out and let us know what you think.

ARM CANNON BLAST FROM THE PAST
POSTED BY
RAWK
On one of my routine time travel excursions this morning, I ran across the original Project X band bio from our original site in 2001. That's a long time before our temporal home of 3528. Anyway, many of you may have missed this gem, having discovered our greatness more recently, and are therefore living without pure, true knowledge of Project X's secret origin. So, here, for your enjoyment, is the true story of Project X! (click the link for the full text)

WWW.CLAWJOB.COM IS LIVE!
POSTED BY
RAWK
The website of Rawk and Rok's other band, Clawjob, greatest pre-20XX rock band, has gone live, albeit in barebones, almost-not-there form! Check it out anyway!
www.clawjob.com
We promise that there will be much coolness at that address in the future. In the meantime, most is the coolness is still right here.

DO YOUR PART: LINK TO PROJECT X!
POSTED BY
RAWK
Greetings, fans, robots, humans! Do you want a special gold star of Project X approval? Not a real one, but an imaginary one? Well, Project X needs your help!
You see, we spent many months of our futuristic robot lives recording these tributes to Mega Man, and we want as many people as possible to hear them. It's not about money -- we give this music out for free! -- we just want to spread the glory of Mega Man. The problem is, no one can find us! A search for "project x" will not bring up www.projectxweb.com in the first 1000 results!
Here's how you can help...

WELCOME TO THE NEW PROJECTXWEB.COM!
POSTED BY
RAWK
For the 100th time, Project X has a new site! What makes this one any different than the other 99? Well, as robots, we take great pleasure in all things automated, and posting updates to this site is now very much automated and hassle-free! So now we can post here whenever we get bored with our robo-jobs at the rock factory.
You'll notice that you can now leave comments after every update. Please do so! Comments are robotically good! We were considering adding an entire forum to this website, but we'd be sad if it had only 2 or 3 posts, so we haven't yet. If you think we SHOULD add a forum, just say so in the comments or e-mail us at projectx@projectxweb.com.
And yes, we are working on new music. No, it is not Mega Man music. It is, however, totally awesome and crazy and HUGE, and we know that all fans of Project X are going to enjoy our next project. Be aware, though, that ROK and I are creating this life-changing new work of art in our human guises of Mike and Nick, and the name under which it will be released is CLAWJOB, not Project X. And hey, Clawjob may sound dirty, but at least it's not a Matthew Broderick movie ("Project X" is... see sidebar). So, remember: PROJECT X = CLAWJOB. Same people (and/or robots), same roborock sound, different name. Think of it like Clark Kent and Superman, or David Bowie and Ziggy Stardust.
Anyway, that's the news in the future world of Project X. I'll try and force ROK to stop shredding the robo-axe for a minute and post something here.
